NY I LOVE YOU is an ode to independent music of the greatest city on earth. It’s a peek at artists, with little-to-no following, that are unique to the city. Before they get all famous, they take a pitstop at the Harlem Sanctuary to share a few songs. It’s been a long time since New York has expressed it’s opinion on the state of music. We hear a lot from pop acts that claim the city, but they are long distanced from the heart of the streets and the sounds in the subways. By the time they hit, the taste of the city has already changed. A resurgence is forming that gathers together the music scene’s most authentic voices.
